Isn't it great when everyone in a family portrait has such a great smile - including the newborn? Julia & Scott requested an in-home session, and I'm so excited we were able to capture this incredibly happy first family portrait in little Emilia's nursery!

I was warned upon arrival that Emilia was a tough cookie when it came to lulling to sleep so I started the session with a wrapped pose. Even though she cried through the wrapping process, once she was all bundled, she settled right down and nodded off into that deep sleep, but not before capturing a couple of eyes-open images for Mom & Dad.

For posed newborn sessions in the client's home, I still do my best to include a prop pose. At our Planning Session, Julia & Scott shared one of my instagram images of a baby in this pose that they loved. I loved changing up the props and accessories to make a unique image for their session that was cohesive with the rest of their gallery.
