Adelaide's 6-Month Session | Valencia, PA Child Photographer
Six-month photo shoots are among my most rarely scheduled sessions, with most clients focusing solely on newborn and 1st birthday to capture baby's first year, but 6-month-old babies are by FAR the easiest of the three age groups to capture amazing portraits!
They are so expressive with their little personalities shining through, like you can see in this adorable portrait of Adelaide, but they also aren't yet independent and mobile enough to prefer exploring the studio to smiling for pictures. Plus, they generally find everything hilarious, and what's better than a giggling baby to make your day?
The best part about sessions between newborn and 1st birthday is capturing the baby rolls! A lot of times, babies have lost their chunk by the time they hit a year old, so if parents are up for it, I love to try to capture a couple naked baby shots that best show off those rolls. Plus it's a great way to capture how babies this age LOVE to grab their toes!

Mom told me when she arrived that Adelaide was very into sucking her left thumb and grabbing her right foot (very specific preferences!) so when I caught her stick her thumb in her mouth, I grabbed a shot, and mom said, “Oh good, I want one photo of her sucking her thumb so we can remember that’s what she did at this age.”
