This pose is one of my favorites, and Grace just looks so peacefully asleep on this soft fuzzy blanket.
I LOVE that Lauren asked if her mom could be included in a portrait. She wanted an image that captured 3 generations of strong women, and I was absolutely thrilled to incorporate that into the session.
It's so funny when you have a toddler sibling at a newborn session because it requires a completely different energy and mindset than the rest of the session!
Josie was a very typical toddler, excited about her sister but not too keen on posing for photos. However, she was very excited to wear the "princess dress" from my client wardrobe. And when we did get cooperation out of her, she has such an amazing smile!
Grace was a dream but woke up right before the final "tucked in" pose. It seemed to take so long to relax her back to sleep to get the final shot of the session, but it also meant I was able to grab that rare eyes-open newborn portrait that so many parents request but isn’t always possible to deliver.
