Family Booking Guidelines

Family is not an important thing. It’s everything.

Maybe it’s because I’m in this stage of my life right now, but I sincerely believe that the chapter of your life spent raising your children is the happiest and most gratifying chapter of all. That when you reach old age and start feeling nostalgic, this time spent changing diapers, wiping runny noses, packing school lunches, and juggling after-school activities...this time when you needed coffee and wine to literally survive and maintain your sanity...this will be the time you look back on the most fondly.

Family portraits aren’t just for capturing physical changes in your children and new additions to your family. They are to capture personalities, connections, activities that you love and how all of those things evolve over time. They are to provide you and your children with daily visual reminders of the overflowing love within your home.

So let’s capture your family’s story as it unfolds, so that many decades in the future, you have albums filled with all of your best memories to look back on.

Booking your family session:

I photograph family sessions almost exclusively outside where this is plenty of room to walk, run, and play with your children. In order to avoid cold temperatures and unhappy kiddos, I recommend booking for sometime between May — early November.

Sessions are scheduled either immediately after sunrise or approximately 1-2 hours before sunset to get the best light. The timing isn’t always the easiest for little ones, but the results are so worth it!

The busiest months are May and September — November, so please book well in advance if you want to schedule a family session during these months.
