My first time getting to work with Ryan was back when he was just a newborn! I captured him again at six months old during a fall mini session and now, he’s already one year old. Can you believe how time flies? This photo is my favorite because he’s so smiley!

When I was taking his 6-month photos, he kept such a serious expression on his face most of the time! It was a major goal for me this time around to capture a big happy smile for his mama!

While we were getting ready to celebrate Ryan’s 1st birthday with his (epic) cake smash, Dena & Pat shared some other extremely exciting news with me… Ryan was being promoted to big brother!

It isn't very often I get to incorporate such a joyous announcement into a photo session!

After the exciting announcement, Ryan was ready for the fiesta, which was his birthday party theme! Dena chose this theme because of her love for Mexican food. She brought most of the decorations with her, and I LOVE the inclusion of the sombrero hat into the session!

Mom said that even at his birthday party, he only ate his cake with one finger! Check out that cake, by the way, doesn’t it look delicious?!

With the pregnancy announcement AND a cake smash, this was such a great shoot and I’m so happy I could be part of it! I can't wait to capture Ryan with his little brother or sister arriving later this fall!
