Even though she slept for most of the session, Ellie woke up right before our prop pose and couldn't be settled back to sleep. So this pose was completely unplanned and a great example of how my "plan" for poses always needs to be flexible.

This is my favorite photo from Bryce’s session! I love how the blanket and wrap add hints of texture to this image while still keeping the focus on Bryce's sweet little face.

The profile images with baby and Dad are often a big hit with my clients, and here is such a sweet example showing why! Here's Dad nose to nose with his little princess, showing her tiny size as he cups the back of her head in his hand.

Gah! All of the little baby wrinkles! It's almost too much to handle!

I just love the happiness captured in mom and dad's faces while snuggling their sweet, super peaceful baby. Also, not all clients are willing to risk holding a naked newborn in their portraits, but I love being able to see all of his little fingers and toes and how he just folds rights up in mom's arms.

This pose is one of my favorites, and Grace just looks so peacefully asleep on this soft fuzzy blanket.

Raj had such amazing hair and lashes for a newborn, and I love how this close up shows off those particular features while he's lying in this sweet pose.

Mom and Dad (but mostly Mom) are major Star Wars fans and brought the Yoda and Princess Leia caps with them! How cute!

Newborn smiles are so unpredictable! When Taylor gave this big grin while mom was holding her, Megan couldn't help but smile back at her. I loved capturing this sweet moment.
